Where we meet
Driving lessons start and finish at the Palmerston North i-SITE. Michael will drive you to and from a quieter location if necessary and provide a pre-lesson briefing and feedback along the way. Lessons can also start elsewhere by prior arrangement, at a location of your choosing.
If you wish to use your own vehicle for lessons, whether manual or automatic, that can be arranged too.
Our car: 2018 Nissan Leaf
This model received a 5-star safety rating from NHTSA, indicating that it meets or exceeds the highest level of safety performance. Its safety features include multiple airbags, vehicle dynamic control, traction control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.
The advantages of an EV include easy conversation in a near silent environment, lower running costs for competitive lesson pricing, and preparation for the near future as these vehicles become the mainstay of the worldwide fleet.
You're investing in capability
More than an hour behind the wheel
A driving lesson isn't simply time spent sitting in a car. It's an opportunity to identify weaknesses, practise specific skills, receive professional feedback and develop better driving habits. That's why our approach follows a simple cycle:
- Assess
- Plan
- Train
- Practise
- Review
- Progress
We want you to understand:
- Where you are now
- What you're doing well
- What needs improvement
- What we're working on
- What comes next
That means your lessons have a purpose, and you can see your development.
Not sure what training you need?
That's okay. You don't need to know exactly what you need before you contact us. Tell us where you're at and we'll help identify the appropriate next step.
